Bustin' out a tune that I think is just classic. Released in 1991, it defines Ride's take on shoegaze, and is one of my favorite tracks from them. Taken from their album "Nowhere".

It's funny because the guys from Ride showed up at one of our weekly underground raves in Los Angeles. It was on Saturday night, of course, and was a Mad Patch party (IIRC), with were a lot more hit than miss, anyone here on this board remember Nirvana? They didn't look like they were very much into it but proved to be a very interesting evening. With the rave parties in 1990 or so in Los Angeles they would only have a phone number on a flyer and the nitrous. What the promoters would do is break into an abandoned wherehouses and set up. Us ravers would show up at the map point, pay the money, for the rave and free beer, but in those days it was all about the E, and than we would know where to go. That particular night the bass was really heavy and the cops showed up, but in Los Angeles it was just a big game, the promoters paid them off and we partied until six or so in the morning. Was and amazing night but have no idea how long the guys from Ride stayed…

I have really, really enjoyed life! Most of my experience would of never happened if I didn't live in the City Of Angeles...
