I bought Jenny Lewis & The Watson Twins 'Rabbit Fur Coat' which is excellent and may well feautre in my Shmoo 2006 Top Ten. I'm big upping it for the third time in two days.

I also got Cat Power's 'The Greatest'. Only given it one listen but it didn't immediately strike me with the exception of a couple of songs, and I, for the record, think 'You Are Free' is a great record. I'm hoping it will grow on me.

Am probably going to buy Cat Power today. Speaking of Rilo side projects, The Elected has another album out today as well.

Cat Power was one of my favourite artists until The Greatest. I think that Pitchfork gave an honest, pretense-free review for once; one that i happen to agree with wholeheartedly.

That Cat Power is like $7.99 at Best Buy, right? I might sneak by there and see what is on sale. I still wanna buy that Anthrax Best-of, I'm just not sure I'm ready to spend full price.

Super Numeri "The Welcome Table" is released today in NA (came out late last year in the UK), and I can't stress how spectacular it is.

I may pick this up, but I need to hear at least one song first. I'll check again today to see if that streaming thing is working.

That's on my list for this week, and I should be getting Robert Pollard's From a Compound Eye in the mail sometime later this week . . .

Out of the seven that I've picked up, none have been 06 releases.

I should be getting the Jenny Lewis today but I have doubts I'll be able to find it.

Mellowdrone's out as well, but I'm going to have to hold off on that.

I heard some soundclips of this last night. I was down with it. Doubt anyone around here will carry it, but I might order it.

Where did you hear the clips? Did you get the Real Audio streams to work on the NT site? I tried on two different machines to no avail.

i'm gonna listen to that cat power again and see if it's worth picking up the real thing for $7.99.

also will probably finally pick up a proper copy of the arcade fire album @ $7.99.

I'm looking forward to picking up the new Cat Power. I'm curious about the Jenny Lewis album. Pitchfork gave it a lukewarm review and in fact, gave the Elected a better review. So, I'm torn between the latter two. I'll wait to hear what you all think.
