we just wrote a song about X-Mas. actually, it diverged in 2 directions:

1 - i will try to make things work out btwn us
2 - i still love you, but i know that things are over btwn us

that's the YULETIDE spirit, right?

we will debut it tonight (sat) at a holiday show that we're headlining.

what's everyone else up to? i'm fucking trashed.

and i am listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which is pretty much the best thing i've heard this month. jesus, such a good record.

Insomnia.

Fell asleep at five til after six, but thought I was exhausted and now I've been lying in bed for over an hour and cant sleep. It sucks.

Plus the holidays are stressing me out as are other crappy things, probably most of the reason I can't sleep.

Wish I could be trashed but I have to be bright eyed tomorrow to brave the crowds to xmas shop.

so that's what my friday night has been...

ok, back to bedland to see if I can sleep. nighty night.

that's yuletide for sure....at least it aint bottled up no more, heh

i was the rare straight man tonight, wife got good and loopy in a funny way and passed out tired on the way home. The kid is at Gram's, so i'm havin' a drink in lieu of what i missed out on, we missed the Stills' show due to lack of parking, venue too crazy, arrived too late, wife too buzzin', Im l istening to Calla(so much better in studio and on head phones) and YHF never fails me, ever, never[secretly, off the record, i think tweedy is unique for all time)

have a great show manana

...getting wasted drinking top shelf liquor at work Christmas party, eating steaks with 9 other friends at swanky restuarant, taking over a chic chicago lounge and acting like I'm important, and then taking a limo 30 miles to the gambling boats and losing $100 on craps. :(

Night of debauchery - $300

Getting to bed at 6:30 am Saturday morning- priceless

...watching Chasing Liberty. OK, so it was a Monday night and OK, it's not even close to being a great movie. But it did have Mandy Moore in it, and she was nekkid like 3 different times.
