So I know this was brought up in another thread (or two or three), but I was looking for some more info on this album and stumbled across this:

http://team-love.com/bands/jenny/releases.html

So, ummmm.....check it out. What I've heard so far is pretty friggin' good, by the way.

Sounds good, but I'll save my money for the Neko Case album in March. Neko does this sort of thing so much better.

I like this. It's not amazing or anything, but nice.

I've been reading some really good things about her and this album, I'm actually going to check it out this weekend. Or find it at least.

I put a few of these on my ipod and listened today. I still love her voice, but her lyrics are too matter of fact. There's no imagery or witty word play. I thought the same about the lyrics of Rilo Kiley too.

I'm sure I'll like Neko's album much better, but I'll give this a few more listens before it goes to the recycle bin.

I'd agree the lyrics are one of the weaker points of the album and it's no 'Blacklisted' but that's no reason to write it off.

Oh, Jenny Lewis is the singer from Rilo Kiley?

I just heard her for the first time, "Rise Up" I think. It was okay but sounded too much like a cross between Lucinda Williams and Sara Harmer.

Are all the songs as slow and mellow as that one?

I'm so angry that's not out on dvd. I rented it on vhs from the library a few weeks back.

Also, Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even is pretty awesome. Just saw that on television last week.

Coincidentally, featuring the other Savage brother.

No it wasn't directed at you. That's Jenny Lewis on the right.

Oh. I read it like "Hey Genius" everyone knows Jenny Lewis was the singer in Rilo Kiley. (I even have, and like, More Adventurous.)

Interesting trivia about Lewis, anyway.
