Two questions:

(1) Who is Wolfmother?

(2) And why is Wolfmother so popular down there?

I could actually listen to a radio station that played some of those songs. Doesn't mean I wouldn't bitch about it, but I could at least listen to it without want to kill things.

they are a metal band on modular. they're popular because they are good. they're doing a US tour in february. they had an EP out in 2004 and i think the LP's getting a US release soon.

Instead of bands like Matchbox Twenty or Nickleback being insanely popular, we have bands like Woldfmother and Powderfinger. Admittedly i am not a great fan of either of those bands, but i respect that they are at the very least talented songwriters and good live musicians.

Wolfmother are going to be freakin' huge over there in about 3 months methinks, so you've been warned.
