Why do people spell "definitely" this way? Do they pronounce it "def-in-AT-ly"? Noooo.

Today I saw on some paperwork that someone spelled per diem as "per dium". It was twice, so no typo.

I've noticed that on this message board 'weird' almost always gets spelled 'wierd'.

My Wife The English Major hates incorrect usage of "its," among millions of other instances for which she'd have Grammar Police execute people.

She'd laugh at my use of "for which," for instance.
