Hmm...could be interesting. I hope it focuses more on the people than the music, although some of his group/artist selections aren't too shabby.

Probably won't be released wide. Gondry is an enigma. I doubt this will feature any of his usual razzamatazz. It seems like this was a pet project or perhaps a fulfilling of a contract.

I can't be the only one who thinks he could make a COMPLETE comeback and have all the insanity shit forgotten if SNL booked him to not only host the season finale but write it and co-produce the entire thing, including booking the musical act.

The show would get its biggest rating in YEARS, cap off the great year they're having and Dave would remove all doubt that he's still got it. And judging from a stand up show he did @ Eastern Michigan Univ. this fall, you can tell that part of him is still alive and well and he still wants to do it if he could remove the pressure cooker of expectations he was facing @ Comedy Central. I think a one-off thing like SNL (vs. the pressure of cranking out 10-12 episodes a season) would be just the opportunity.

Either way, that doc looks really awesome and I hope it gets some kind of reasonable release.
