Dunno, the download on the website is a P. Hood song that sounds pretty cool, but Ive become so enamored by Cooley and especially Isbell's songwriting that I can't call it. Big, BIG hopes though.

Couple more for my wishlist that I stumbled over recently ...

04.11 : Calexico (Garden Ruin)
05.09 : The Black Heart Procession (TBA)

From Touch and Go ...

The Black Heart Procession are planning on releasing their as-yet-untitled album on May 9th. The album is a followup to 2004's The Tropics of Love. They'll also be performing at the label's SXSW showcase on March 18th at Antone's.

What's the deal with these guys, Davey? Their track on the recent Bloodshot Records sampler is a great, Stonesy ballad - but what's the rest of their stuff like?

There's three mp3 files in my post further up. Pretty cool stuff. Lots of the Band - one of the covers is "Get Up Jake" which I guess was an outtake from the second album (the brown one). Showed up as a bonus on the remaster. Good song. I think "Blindfolded" is my fave of the 3. Got a lot of that bluesy Exile feel. That's all I've heard. I did a search before posting and yours was the only mention here. As usual, the European wanks are the ones keeping our Americana alive. Seems like most of the bands hardly even tour here anymore, instead spending most of their time abroad.

I had Richard Ashcroft's latest title as the "science of silence"... notice you have it as "keys to the world". wonder if it was changed or if I was thrown a curveball. interesting.

Other stuff I'm looking forward to not noted.

Ambulance ltd is supposed to have something out in the next couple of months.

Starflyer 59 also has a release within the next few weeks.

And one of my guilty favorites, Steve Wynn has his latest "tick..tick..tick.." scheduled to be released 1/31.

"Science Of Silence" is a song, in fact a single, from the last Ashcroft album. The new one is called Keys To the World, which I have had 8 songs demo for a bit now. I have seen anywhere from 12 to 15 songs on the new one so I'm waiting a bit to get a clean version.

I thought Starflyer 59 broke up, i like some of their shoegazer stuff...

Any idea how to pronounce that? I think I should be snickering.

I'm excited for the new Saves The Day album. I'd like to get my hands on the new live Costello disc. I'm sure it's a good one. I sure hope this year is better than last year! Not just for music, but for movies, too.
