I've been rockin wit deese for a couple of years now:

I like them a lot but sometimes I think they're a little bulky. With the ipod sensation sweeping the nation a lot of people are switching back to those ear buds. Man I hate sticking those little guys in my ears. Sooo uncomfortable after 2,3 songs.

Well? What about you.

You can replace the cord when it shorts. 29 decibel cut. Volume control on left earbud. Incredible dynamic response. Great for recording.

I rock these:

They work alright. I take my ipod everywhere and couldn't imagine hauling proper headphones around all the time.

Sennheiser PX 200. Perfect for my needs. I'm no audiophile but these sound pretty good

I like these. Are they comfortable, Spencer, or do they fall out every time you turn your head like some of them do?

I just use the ear buds that came with my Zen Creative when I'm out and about (I'd feel self concious with 'big headphones' on) but at home I use Bayer Dynamic DXT700's. They weren't enormously expensive but expensive enough. I think I paid about £80 for them. Unfortunately I can't find a single picture of the model on the whole of the internet.

I've never had a problem w/ them falling out of my ear. They have 3 sizes of earbuds so it caters to all ear shapes and sizes. The thing that does suck is the earbud will fall off the actual headphone from time to time and cost $5 plus S+H to replace. If you take good care of them I'm sure that can be avoided, but I throw mine around quite abit. The sounds pretty good and they virtually block out all noise.

i use those bose noise-reducing headphones. they're pricey but i got them as a gift last christmas.

if i want something smaller/more portable i use the standard issue ipod earbuds--they seem to fit better if i flip the ears i put them in, weird huh?

I use these too. Pretty decent sound for $50, and nicely portable.

These are amazing. I've always hated earbuds, but these are comfortable enough to wear while you sleep.

wtf smafty? Do those go right in your ear like those foam ear plugs? and that is comfy?? I've been looking for something a little less bulky but I think $99 might be too many bones or clams. where did you buy em??

I am a serious headphone geek. Here is my collection (in order of frequency of use, of late):

Audio-Technica W2002
Audio-Technica A100Ti
Stax SRS-3010 system (probably my current favourite)
Grado HP-2
Shure E2C's
Beyer DT770, DT990, DT930, DT831
Sony MDR-V6

Don't even get me started on my headphone amp collection. My favourite is far and away the Singlepower Supra, but I also have a Wheatfield HA2, AudioValve RKV, Radii HAP-03 and HAP-02, and a Creek OBH11SE.

They fit just like ear plugs. I was skeptical, but people on the iRiver board raved about them. I couldn't find a store in Calgary that carried them so that I could try them out, so I took a chance and ordered them online. It was worth it. They fit perfectly (they come with 3 different sizes of foam pieces so you can fit them to your ears) and since they block outside noise you can listen at a lower volume.

None of those amps are portable though, right? I've been thinking I should build either a Mint or a CMoy. Not really sure of the differences or which would be better. Have you tried either of these yet?
