I like Walking Distance but I really prefer A Bigger Piece of the Sky or at least I did 5 years ago.

Agreed, Yail hooked me up with a couple of their albums and I liked them immediately.

From my youth....

The Sound: I see a lot of talk about Gof4, Bunnymen, Cure, JD, but not much about the Sound, who are almost their equal.

The Darling Buds: Erotica is just so awesome.

Little Feat and The Strawbs, from the '70s

as for current bands/artists, not really many I can think of, maybe these...
Ron Sexsmith
The Flaming Stars
The New Year
The Moonbabies

I'd be interested to see if someone else thinks David Kilgour's solo albums are great.

I love the Sound more than GO4 and the Bunnymen, but less than JD and the Cure

I'd talk more about certain 80's acts but they've been gone so long even I don't care anymore.

Yeah, I'm in on this party too...though "& the Heavy Eights" is the only one I have, but it is GREAT. I think I'll get that '04 release soon.

My Cracker fondness spills over from my Camper love. So I wouldn't call it a fixation, more of an afterglow.

There wouldn't be much point to me talking about Gospel Quartets or new age music here. Though I've got a healthy respect for the quality end of both.
