At my bagel shop show.
I played a new song of mine (about a soldier saying goodbye to his family as he boarded the bus that would eventually take him off to war) and she lost it. Wow.

Kinda felt good and bad at the same time.

Man, that's not what I thought you were going to say. I was hoping you were going to go into some story about berating an old woman into submissive bawling.

That's cool though. You got a reaction. I think the worst thing for a musician is to have zero reaction. Not even hating it just.........nothing.

This is a cool thing, Todd. Well, you know what I mean.

On a related note, an old lady once left a threatening message on my answering machine.

Oh right. The story. When I first hooked up my phone line, I received a few calls from this elderly lady always looking for her son. The calls were always short and cordial and I even tried to find the number for her, but wasn't able to (this did not surprise me). Then one day a message stating this was left on my machine; "Hey, I don't know who you are, but let me know who you are woman, or I'll come around and beat you up" Or something to that effect.
