I the brother-in-law crashing here all week while he was off the rigs, and while he was fun to have around, I'm looking forward to having my couch back. So, with that in mind...

today: feeble attempt at work, followed by wine and dinner. Then couch.
tomorrow and day after: I'm thinking of throwing on some of my favourite movies, couch and more wine. In short, whatever the hell I want to do, whenever I want to do it, preferably in my robe.

Tonight I am suppose to play Edward Forty Hands with some people who work in my department.
Tomorrow night I am going to see Criteria and Little Brazil with local band Ideal Cleaners at Duffy's Tavern here in Lincoln
Sunday is the Super Bowl, so that is self explanatory

OPEN NUTH.

We can start raising money again monday morning, so this is a last hurrah of mongerdom for a little while.

Tonite: Prolly go out to a shitty restaurant that passes for good and tanked on wine.
Tomorrow: Feeble attempt at unpacking/picking up the house followed by wathcing the worst television shows known to man (aka whatever's on MTV)
Sunday: Super Bowl Party, which should be qual.

Saturday, work. Sunday, this:

Auburn Super Bowl Sunday Ride

Looking at the long range weather forecast I can see that we will have pretty muddy conditions but right now Sunday looks like it “could be” dry. Of course we won’t know until the day arrives.

Here is the plan….

Meet at the American River Confluence in Auburn at 9am this Sunday Feb 5th. The exact route will not be known until ride time…I generally base my route on current weather and trail conditions as some trails in Auburn are better than others when there has been a lot of rain. One route I am considering usually comes with Canadian bacon and hollandaise…get it?

Expect to be done around 2-2:30pm.

The Super Bowl starts at about 3:20. If you are interested in attending the Pistol Petes Potluck Super Bowl party at Pistol Petes Brew and Cue in Auburn be sure to bring a change of clothes and something to donate to the potluck (OGRE COOKIES PLAESE!). There is always great food at this event and they have a large community BBQ…so you can bring something to cook as well and, Pete Sr. will usually grill it up for you to your liking. They have a great on tap beer selection including Arrogant Bastard, Kilt Lifter, Racer 5, Black Butte, Steelehead, Old Rasputin….This place is very low key casual so don’t worry about being a little dirty.

Sounds like fun, eh?

I'm about to leave to go to Baton Rouge in a few minutes for work. I'll probably stay awhile and catch up with friends.

Then nothing till Sunday Super Bowl Party.

I wish.

Tonight I probably won't do anything. I've got about a fifth of Dewars to finish off.

Tomorrow: g/f gets back from 2 week trip to DC and Kansas. Picking her up from the airport in the afternoon and then going to see Feist that night. I expext it to be kinda boring, but hopefully it'll be good.

Sunday: Need to get a shitload of freelance work done that I've been putting off all week. I really hate being over-committed. I'd really like to just relax and spend time with my g/f.

I had wanted to do various things:

- organize my room
- go jogging
- go out for drinks with friends
- prance

But alas, I think I am fighting off whatever cold/flu bug my bf has.

...Whole body... acheing.... must.... go... home... to .... bed.... and watch movies & eat soup. :(

(at least it will be an excuse to do some reading, be lazy and cuddle)

I've developed a pretty nice Saturday routine where I get all my laundry and housework done while the gf is at work so we can enjoy Sunday (our only common off day) together. So there's that.

To paraphrase Ronnie Van Zant, I'll probably drink enough red wine to float a battle ship around.

Sunday we are invited to a couple of Super Bowl parties, but I am voting for the most ghetto one of all at our boy Frank's house---which means I'll be posting from jail next week.
