I like Britney and all... but that song sucks balls.

[Edit] No wait. "My Prerogative" sucked balls. "Toxic" kicks ass.

Am I the only person who doesn't ever hear a single one of these these "blog" songs?

YES YES YES. "HEARTBEAT" AT NUMBER 1.

i <3 Pitchfork, haha.

no, but really. That isn't THAT bad of a list, plenty of songs I hate, plenty of songs I like. Overall, I think I liked Stylus' list more..but two Annie songs in the top 10 is ok with me.

i fucking LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that heartbeat song. i haven't been so into the rest of the album (Lady KPH is crazy about it though), but yay for Annie.

i dunno, i didn't really expect much from this list, given the "we listen to pop music, too!!!" thing that they do with the singles lists. i'd have a bit more respect for that if they actually covered more of this style of music in the WATW and daily reviews sections...

evs, cool to see the Walkmen getting respect for one of my favorite songs, period.

(i'd've ranked float on a lot higher)

KPH

I agree. It's cool to give credit where credit is due but it feels like Pitchfork is trying to shock people with picks like Big 'n Rich and Britiney. To me it's just sort of silly. I'm looking forward to their album list tomorrow. Maybe they'll shock us all again and name the Usher album #1.

I'm just happy to see Rubberband Man get some cred.

Yeah, I thought Rubberband Man would be top 10, though. Oh well. That's the hottest track out the south in years.

I agree that the Stylus list was better, but Pitchfork's wasn't bad. I think they try to go for shock value with this list and end up putting a lot of mainstream songs higher than they need to be. I'll pay much more attention to the album list.

I stopped reading after the Streets "Dry Your Eyes." I like the Streets, but heavens, that song is so freaking whiny and it drags and bluh! (And I even have some secret uber-emo loves)

If they're going to be "LOL LETS PUT MAINSTREAM ARTISTS IN IT UP HIGH!" they better have put "Breathe" by Fabolous near the top or they have no credibility whatsoever.

if it's "toxic" that won, okay. that's a pretty cool song for a lame pop single.

They better have my favorite songs near the top or they have no credibility and are laughable.
