It's cool Bright Eyes won some awards, even though the song he won for essentially sucks, and is a bad protest song
I wouldn't have voted for Sufjan Stevens or Bloc Party, but most people who won are fairly deserving or at least easy to understand why they won.
We need to get OBNER nominated for music website next year, I say fuck all those mp3 blog sites.

It's one of his aliases from the episode where he babysits for The Simpsons and he burns all his files in their fire place. His other alias is Miguel Sanchez

It's actually Nguyen Van Phoc. it's a Vietnamese name. Even the subtitled get it wrong on the DVDs.

One of the four members of Animal Collective (Geologist) didn't even know they'd won for 'Avant' album of the year as of this afternoon. His general comment (I'm paraphrasing) was "Huh? We won? Who accepted for us? I didn't even know it was going on. And 'Avant'? We don't even deserve to be in that category."

He said he was going to go all 'Lindsey Lohan' on the award if he got his hands on it (assuming there is a statue of some sort) and break it into a bunch of pieces and hand it out. I'm not sure if he meant to the other 'Avant' artists, or just to random people.

Do you all really think Sub Pop should have won for Best Label?

Illinois is the album of the year, yet Silent Alarm still manages to beat it in the "Indie album of the year" category. Huh?

And why is there even an indie category? Aren't all these albums independent?

Just another BS award show. I think Illinois shouldn't have received album of the year, and I don't think Sub Pop should have the received Label of the Year award. Out of their recent releases:
Rosie Thomas - Yawn!!
The Constantines - Meh! Although their live show was entertaining.
The Elected - Ugh! I've always hated the Eagles so I don't understand why anyone would want to try to be them.
Chad VanGaalen - Mediocre!
Rogue Wave - Uber Boring! I don't get why anyone likes this band!

Radioio.com should have one for best internet radio station, IMO. They play some deep, deep cuts at times.
