Coincidentally enough, Frank Black has one called "Billy Radcliffe".

I worked in this group home and my boss was named charles. One time, the boss of both of us, came to the group of employees and said that she was going out of town and said, "while I am gone, charles is in charge". Now. we all laughed at the poor guys expense. I think though it was more because the statement was unintentional. I felt bad later.

But, I have to say, I am a bit hypocritical too because this same guy I used to call Chuck. I would say, "what's upchuck?" I would say it as though it was the term used for vomiting. And then I would laugh at how funny I was. I hate myself.

I have never heard a song with my name in it. Though I'm sure there are tons of traditional Irish songs with it stuck in there somewhere... my name is Erin.

Ween has a song named Stacey, right?

Then, of course, you all know how hot my mom is. Hearing "Stacy can't you see you're just not the girl for me" never ceases to put me in a good mood... ;)

Not that I know of. Neither "Dusty" nor "Peter".

Several come to mind. Like The Pretty Things "Peter," XTC "Peter Pumpkinhead," The Dead Milkmen "Peter Bazooka," The Grateful Dead "Black Peter," Run-DMC "Peter Piper," Jellyroll Morton, "Sweet Peter," Letters To Cleo "St. Peter," and Blur "Peter Panic."

Dusty? That's harder. Soundgarden's "Dusty," Railroad Jerk "Dusty Knuckle, "and Icehouse "Dusty Pages" but those don't really apply.
The Long Ryders "Run Dusty Run" is the only I can think of with the name.

Ha, unintentional stuff I can laugh at no problem there's no reason to feel bad. That example, I would have laughed at as well. I can laugh at a lot, even the Upchuck bit, as I've (a) been known to drink a lot and (b) vomit, so it goes with the territory. I only get annoyed with the idiots who actually think they're making a funny joke for the first time. I really identified with your laughing boy's hilarious puns on "joe".

UNCLE HARRY - by the Living End

Whoa
Uncle Harry pissing in the bath
Whoa, pissing in the bath
Uncle Harry pissing in the bath
Whoa, pissing in the bath again

He lives in a small flat all alone
In the middle of a run down street
Spends most evenings up the pub
Drinking what he earned that week

Harry keeps to himself
Lives a quiet life
No one can remember
When Harry lost his mind

Oh Uncle Harry you've done it all again
You're pissing in the bath every now and then
I caught you in the wrong place
I caught you out of line
I tell you not to do it
But you do it all the time
Do it all the time

Poor Uncle Harry lost his mind along the way
Poor Uncle Harry happened twenty years today
Comes around to say hello
Little did we know
He's up to his old dirty tricks again
Oh Uncle Harry, you've done it all again
Oh Uncle Harry
We really shouldn't laugh
But every time we turn around
You're pissing in the bath
It's just a silly habit
And we can't help but remind
We tell you not to do it
But you do it all the time

although there is also another "Uncle Harry" by Noel Coward that tells the tale of the corruption of a missionary... wanton white women and restless natives..."Uncle Harry's not a missionary now"

There used to be a guy bartender named Jamie at the Villager Tavern in Nashville that would unplug the jukebox if anyone played that song.

"Cotton Fields" by The Pogues?

Where did ya come from / Where did ya go?

once in a milwaukee bar we were having
pick the most obnoxious/inappropriate song
on the shitty jukebox
because it was obvious
the bartender would rather watch the game

i picked "cotton eye joe"
but it was the old version
without the words
doh!

this was after
"lightning crashes" by live

From my travels, the best song to do this with is "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" from Meat Loaf. Number two is "I Don't Know Much" by Linda Rondstadt and Aaron Neville.

I've got an old song from the 19th century, "Darlin' Cory", which is actually about a woman. I listened to the Doc Watson version as a kid, but I can't find those lyrics.

Wake up, wake up, Darling Cory, What makes you sleep so sound?
The revenuers are a-coming, For to tear your still house down.

Dig a hole, Dig a hole in the meadow, Dig a hole in the cold cold ground;
Dig a hole, Dig a hole in the meadow, We're gonna lay Darling Cory down.

The first time I seen Darling Cory, She's lookin' out on the sea,
With her pistols a-hangin' 'round her middle, And a banjo hangin' round her knee.

The next time I seen Darling Cory, She had a wine glass in her hand;
She was drinkin' down that cold poison liquor, With a low-down gamblin' man.

Go 'way, go 'way, Darling Cory, I'll do the best I can.
I'll get me a no drinkin' woman, And you get you another lovin' man.

The last time I seen Darling Cory, Her pistol was in her hand;
She done kilt that revenue officer, What took away her corn liquor man.

Don't you hear them bluebirds singin', Don't you hear that mournful sound,
They're preachin' Cory's funeral, In the lonesome graveyard ground.

I WISH I had the power to do this in every bar I've ever been in. 90% of them play shit music.
