and it's haunting me.

It's a dollar. I don't see why I haven't listened to it, or bought it. It was given a rating of 3 stars on allmusic, which isn't great considering a ton of the albums on allmusic have 4/5 stars. However, it's not a bad rating.
I'm mad I haven't bought it, just because it is a dollar.
Has anyone heard it? Is it good?
Or is it worth buying since it's a dollar? It's just bothering me because it's a jazz album that has potential to be good or awful. Every album does. But this one is a dollar, and if it was just mediocre I wouldn't mind spending the dollar. If it was great it'd be a great use of a dollar.
I'm just worried i'm missing out on something. Dollar cds are so tempting.

goddamnit!

So I shouldn't? Just give me a serious answer.

If I should i'll go back to the record store before next weekend, if I shouldn't I don't care.
I just want to know if it sucks balls or if it's good enough to go back and buy.

I was trying to get the opinion of someone who has heard this, or his work before buying it.

Actually, I was thinking of "point" but "problem" works. It's a buck, buy the stupid record. Worse comes to worst, turn it into a flower pot (the spindle hole provides excellent drainage).

If the McChicken sandwich ever gets above a buck I'm not ever buying that shit again. Maybe the fruit and yogurt parfait I'd spend a buck thirty on.

If its really worth a dollar, it will be gone by the time you get back, and then you will know and then you will have peace. (i.e. if its still there, it aint worth a dollar)

of course, this is my favorite paradox.

Be spontaneous and just buy it. A dollar is nothing but this record has the potential to mean a lot to you. It is a tiny bit of a gamble but so what. I've had lots of luck with cheap cds. I have even bought cds by bands that I've never heard if they had a cool cd cover and the price is right. Thats how I discovered Bis, Chomsky, Gatsbys American Dream, etc.

WTFIYP?

This is a MUSIC board. You shouldn't be posting for advice on buying music.

Sheesh. Some people's kids.

Isn't this that CD that you picked up just because the guy was named Paquito and no one's ever seen that name before?

Yeah it's the cd I picked up and pretended like you should buy it. Then I saw it was a jazz album and it was a dollar. I don't know a ton of jazz artists so it could possibly be a good cd.
I figured i'd ask if anyone heard it.

I know most folks here get enamored with bargin bin discoveries, but I tend to think more often than not you get what you pay for. For every artist that I discovered and grew to really care about as a result of a random cheap purchase, I can think of 10 that were a waste of time and another 5 that I wrongly dismissed because I bought and judged them based on their worst album.

Make a big list of things you actually want and bargin hunt based on that list rather than just buying cheap random stuff. That would be my advice. That said, do challenge yourself by listening to a wide variety of styles and genres. Its only by doing that that you really discover what you like and don't like.
