After weeks of being bombarded with the teaser ads, I was totally pumped to see the Gillette Fusion revealed in its full glory tonight.

Image

Five blades, precision trimmer, and of course, an electric model that somehow improves your shave by vibrating all over your face. I've never tried one, but I can't imagine its that comfortable.

Anyone going to rush out tomorrow and snap up one of these behemoths?

I mean, c'mon. Five blades.

I will... But I just know that the next model, released in a year or fourteen months, will be the first to hit double-digits; maybe an eleven blade monster, with a Spinal Tap tie-in (for the commercials). So uncool, it'll be cooler than the Clay Your Hands Say Yeah major-label debut.

Trust me, it will happen.

As well, Easterbrook will be all over that joke in this week's Tuesday Morning Quarterback.

Anyone remember the fake commercial on SNL from awhile ago that had a razor with like 10 blades? The guy kept slicing his face open and blood was going everywhere.

For a dude with a healthy amount of growth I can say:
Mach 3 Turbo>Mach 3>>>>>>Sensor.

I got some sensors for christmas, and by 5pm, I look like Pierce Brosnan, and could sand down the deck of a schooner.

I'll give this bugger a whirl.

No, this is the one they did way back when 2 blades were first introduced. there was a 13-blade razor when the mach 3 came out.

I dunno, I get mine at Sam's so they are little cheaper. I think 16 blades are thirty bucks.

ha, my husband and I laughed when we saw this commercial. I predict within 10 years, they'll devise a 15 blade razor/block (similar to a sandpaper handheld block) which only requires you to move it 2 cm down your cheek to remove all facial hair.

No kidding. Luckily Target has started carrying generic brand sensor blades at like half the cost.

You're missing out. I've been using the Mach 3 one since it came out and I think it rocks.
