Still, at least they had a pretty good selection. Now all we've got is Sound Exchange and Soundwaves. Houston sucks.

wow, that sucks. yeah some CDs tended to be pricey (kinda like soundwaves).

but hey, i'll be back from college just in time for the sales

They aren't closing down for financial hardship reasons. The owners are retiring. But yeah, non-sale prices were kinda high sometimes, but no more so than most other stores. I've noticed though that when indie CDs came out for the first time, they were generally good at pricing them relatively cheap.
