Picked up the deluxe edition for $10.

Haven't listened to the cd yet, but browsed the book and watched the dvd.

I have high anticipations so I'm almost afraid to listen.

don't be afraid. if you liked Dear Catastrophe Waitress, you'll LOVE The Life Pursuit.

Listening to it right now.

You have to give them a lot of credit for the way they have developed their sound. The track I'm listening to now has a guitar solo Ernie Isley would have been proud of.

Well, I actually love everything they've done, so my fear is misplaced.

I too did not know there was a deluxe until I saw it in stores. I'm glad I did. If I had bought the regular edition, opened it, then discovered the deluxe, I would have been pissed.

Haven't bought it yet, but I've had a copy for a few months.

I think it is a more streamlined record than DCW, but I don't think it hits quite the same heights.

I cheat the system. I buy a cd for $10 at one place, go to another place where that cd sells for $20, tell them I got it for my birthday, already have it, don't have a receipt, get in-store credit and pick up the B&S with that.

So, in the end, I only spent $20 but got the deluxe edition which is priced at 20.

What if DCW wasn't really a hit?

Faves are likely the ever-popular IYFS and the underloved FYHC.

If you like Fold Your Hands Child you might be interested in a lot of Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegans album 'Ballad Of The Broken Sea'.
