I've just returned back to the states from my vacation:
Tel Aviv>Jerusalem>Florence>Roma>Chicago

Highlights:

- Finding an Latin inscribed Crusader-era pottery shard on the beach at Caesarea
- Watching Scarlett Johanssen in "Match Point"
- Seeing early Italian 14th century icon paintings and other great works of art at The Uffizi
- Gelato
- The Pantheon
- Bruneleschi's Duomo
- The "doors of paradise"
- Michaelangelo's "David"


Lowlights:

- The declining purchasing power of the almighty dollar vs. the euro
- AlItalia losing my luggage
- Arguing with my incorrigible father
- Watching two heroin junkies trying to find each other's veins outside of the emperor Augustus' funeral tomb
