i'm no expert and i don't really understand what the hell i'm doing but just keep playing. I play while i play while I play guitar which makes it easy and fun to practice. i tried reading a book (harmonica for dummies) but found it boring and went back to just playing.

i guess the only iportant thing to understand is key signatures. do you?

alanis plays like two notes on the harmonica and anyone with lungs and lips can play like she does.

i think that was why she was mentioned.

It's some "skit" she did for the Canadian music awards after the whole "nipple/wardrobe malfunction" thing with Janet Jackson. I just thought it looked hilarious.

I don't hate her---she's probably a nice person---just fun to make fun of sometimes.

I've been trying to upload a YSI of some really great harmonica playing by a friend of mine here at work, but it don't seem to be taking.

If you want to hear a wonderful instrumental version of "In a Sentimental Mood" or "Georgia On My Mind", featuring the virtuosic harp of Katsu Kosaka, PM me and I'll try to mail the mp3 to you... see if that'll work.
