That'd rock, though.

In the town I grew up in, there was this old black dude that would go around mowing people's lawns for $$$.

He always did it in a 3 piece suit & a snazzy hat. Even in the dog days of Summer - the same look, no matter what.

I always thought that was pretty slick.

That is the coolest thing I've ever heard.

here's the point:
people are judgemental egocentric assholes*
*see above.
why hinder your ideas and interactions on the basis of appearance?
you're only proving a point to yourself.
the world at large doesn't
understand your personal philosophy.
until they do,
more people will pay attention to your
opinion
if you look neutral and unthreatening.

You seen the old guy around town here who goes to shows every night in an ancieant 3-piece and dancies with ladies non-stop? Lottel old black guy, probably 80 if he's a day, weighs like 100 pounds.

And Shakes. That. Ass. I always wonder how he deals with the sweat. That suit's gotta be HOT on the inside.

everybody judges people on first impressions, even those who pretend that they dont
So now we're perpetuating the status quo? Oh, everyone else is doing crack, I guess that makes it okay...
you're missing my point. you act like you don't do that, yet you then go on to subscribe to the equally stupid idea that people who do dress up are 'grandpas' who are 'square' etc.
Where did I say I don't do that? I can still be indignant about something I do. There's a difference between doing something knowing it's wrong, and trying to justify it. I acknowledge that humanity has a dual nature and that we all do hypocritical things once in a while. I'm just saying that we should try not to, that's all.

The grandpa comment had nothing to do with how you dress, by the way, it was in reference to your comments, whippersnapper.

im pretty sure you posted in this thread btw

You probably thought they looked like complete douchbags, and i thought the same thing. I judge people and i know it.
Go look in my comment in that thread -- I didn't openly judge anyone in that thread.

And isn't that the point? I'm arguing against being judgmental.

As to being a hypocrite -- I'll openly admit to being a hypocrite, but I strive not to be, rather than try to justify it.
