Just wanted to see if I could dig any other Hawkfans out the ether......probably not though, eh? Maybe I should move to Finland sooner, they have a Hawkwind appreciation society there.

I dig some Hawkwind. I went through a little "Space" phase and got one album and another collection.

Plus....Lemmy. How can you not like Hawkwind?

Here they come, speeding out the ether.......

Lemmy is very cool, but it's a very short period of Hawkwind that he played in. Check out PXR5-HIGH RISE!!! They are still great now, if you get a chance go and see them, but don't expect poetry and Space Is Deep for 20 minutes-if that's your bag go and see Nik Turner and SpaceRitual featuring all original(ish) Hawkwind members complete with dancers, lasers, tripped out sax, 2 drummers, dj'ing and poetry.

Hey, Perkele...now that you've violated Darrin's edict regarding subjects not to raise on the board, I would love it if you could start a Dio thread! In fact, I insist. And don't just limit yourself to the band Dio, but feel free to include his years with Black Sabbath and Rainbow.

After all, he IS the man on the silver mountain.

Konstant and Perkele often get giggly discussing Vivian Campbell guitar solos.

This is the type of band that Derris and I accuse each other of owning albums from.

I did get into a Motorhead freak out with an insanely drunk redneck last night, though (I mean an insanely drunk redneck besides myself)

It's a sad day when after 10 hours Hawkwind only commands 127 views and 12 responses.

<--- rockin' out to "Silver Machine"

Here's a band I haven't thought about in years. I went thru a short space phase about 10 years ago. About all I have left from those days is a couple of Pressurehed albums. I don't feel like I ever completed my space exploration
ehhe ehhh get it

In search of...doesn't feature Lemmy, but it still rocks. Other amazing albums are the double live Space Ritual. If you haven't then you have to hear this, I mean HAVE TO. Warrior on the Edge of Time is good too.

Anything with the mighty mad Bob Calvert on vox is amazing like (amusingly titled) Quark, Strangeness and Charm. They are heading to the USA this year too!!! Not before a UK mini tour tho :D

Billzebub: true, sad, it's changed days tho
