I totally forgot. I might've missed it if I didn't catch Will Arnett on the Daily Show.

Judging by his interview, there's still no confirmation as to whether this will be the season or series finale.

Ughh.

I've been ready for this since mid-January. Number one on my list of things to do this weekend.

Here's to hoping there's some sort of announcement at the end of the two-hour block. That would be spectacular. Imagine one of the characters telling everyone to order their Shotime subscriptions now.

I'll be tuning in for this tonight. I don't anticipate being disappointed, I think they'll go out well.

What I'd read a couple days ago is that Mitch Hurwitz is "mulling over" a couple of offers, but has yet to decide if he even wants to continue on with the show, given all the problems he's had to endure, and there are speculations that there are significant budget restraints coupled with these offers. The rumor, which is apparently well-founded, is that Showtime offered him a two-season, 26 episode deal, but he would have to make BIG cuts (cast, writers, etc.) and the ABC deal is only for 13 episodes, but with no restrictions.

However, someone involved with the crew (a key grip, I believe) said that just before they were getting ready to tear down the sets, they were told to not touch them, as they'd be back in the summer to film new episodes. The important thing to note here is that studio space is very expensive, so it seems pretty unlikely that they would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep the sets in place if there was really a doubt about the future of the show.

But, as with any rumors, find yourself a grain of salt (these, however, reportedly came from reliable sources, especially the one from the key grip.)

While I'm not a regular watcher of AD, I have found the eps I've seen to be damn funny. That said, I'm at a loss as to why in the hell, given the positive reviews and loyal audience this show has garnered, it is continuously placed on the chopping block. wtf?

I'm going to a show tonight (The Whigs/American Vinyl), but I already have it set to record on DVR.

Because of people like you.

JK, it's an expensive show, or so the story goes. And it doesn't command a large audience. These days, there doesn't seem to be much of a stomach for letting shows build an audience. And when you fuck with the show's timeslot, it gets even harder.

Because the loyal audience is only about 75 people.

I've read a couple reviews, & they mentioned that there's closure to some of the storylines, which is nice.

I know! So difficult to decide

Although when I found out this is what AD was going up against to end the show (at least on Fox), I realized that Fox really does just hate it

How stupid is Fox going to feel when this 2 hours of Arrested Development CRUSHES the Olympic opening ceremonies?

I'm recording the AD, and setting up a massive drinking game for the ceremonies, then seting up an AD drinking game for afterwards. Basically, my plan is to go blind. ah, it's like i'm 24 again.

Dude... The Olympics come around every 2-4 years, and the opening ceremonies are the worst part of the whole thing...

Unfortunately, GOB won't be here forever...

<- has the very definition of an Obner for tonight's back-to-back-to-back-to-back episodes....

I mean, William Hung performing at a mock trial? The Bluths in Iraq? Justine Bateman? And that's just a lil' bit of the commercial I saw last night (post-OC) told me...

and the last episode they aired was probably the "loosest" they've ever been, and probably one of my favorites...

I think it's a big stretch of the imagination to think that it's going to even dent the Olympics. The kind of people that are excited about watching the torch and the speeches and the endless parade of athletes with flags are not the kind of people who would even tune into AD out of curiosity.

However, despite the dread-inducing 13-episode season news late last fall, AD has still not been cancelled by Fox yet. My guess is that they're giving it this one last night to show some signs of life, and if it predictibly gets its 4-5 million viewers like it usually does, Fox will pull the plug pretty soon, freeing Hurwitz to make a deal with (most likely) Showtime (or not.) There's still room for a miracle, but it's highly doubtful tonight's episodes will be watched by anyone but the existing fans.

I think Timmy was making a funny.

FOX doesn't even care what the ratings are tonite...the fact that they're slappin' all 4 remaining episodes out there at once is pure burn-off.
