no shit, if she's like my dr. j, she'd come home w/ at least double of what we were originally planning on buying. and then we'd end up letting it go bad cuz we'd forget we even had it.

Do either of you even cook?

I know Yail be cookin up some shit though, and therefore it's manly and right that he gets the groceries. When the cooking gets you tail, then it's the modern day equivalent of a caveman bagging a sabretooth tiger and barbecuing his ass.

ha. reminds we that I actually did take her to the store with me a couple weeks ago because "baby I wanna get some fruit"......After she picked out 2 grapefruits and about 6 or 7 oranges I was like "Are you SURE that you will eat those?" "Of course I will baby"

One grapefruit and two oranges were eaten and I threw out the rest this AM. :nono:

Ha. Yeah, also she works like 50 or 60 hors a week and I work from home a lot so its no problem really. I cook probably 5 nights week and we order out, go out or eat leftovers the other two nights. I'm trying to get her to cook for me ONE fucking night a week because she has a complex that "you don't like my cooking b/c you are such a good cook"

That's total bullshit though because I'm not a gourmet chef by any stretch. I cook because I've lived on my own for 12 years and cooking is cheaper/healthier than eating out. I cook to survive. Plus I pretty much hate restaurants with a few exceptions.

C'mon Yail, you cook because you like it, and you like it cause you're good at it.

Somewhere along the line, guys who cook for survival keep cooking cause they take pride in it, same with everything else we do.

Although the work situation does put things in your court as far as the gf goes... I'm in the same boat.

And I like it.

we've begun to get a lot of wedding gifts, one of those being a slow cooker. how badass would it be to come home from work with a phat pot roast just waiting for me when i get home. that, or a big ass vat of chili.

peapod has a surprisingly large roster of foods/drinks. i love it.

Tis true, I do enjoy it. Strangely, sometimes I actually miss working in restaurants and cooking as a job. Terrible money, hours and lifestyle but there was always something great about producing under pressure.

I need to go to the store btw but its sooo nasty out. And I'm still in my pajamas.

I think I'm gonna try and get some really thick pork chops. I feel a strong urge for pork.
