Is this the halfpipe snoreboarder? I can't believe that's an Olympic event.

I accept curling wholeheartedly. You have no idea how challenging of a sport it is. It's not your pappy's shuffleboard.

Oh, I'm not denying that. I was just wondering why you question the snowboarding stuff but not that.

I like curling.

Snowboarding, like figure skating, is not a sport, but rather an exhibition.

Didn't you admit in another thread that you never once snowboarded nor would you ever?

I've actually met Seth Westcott, the world champion in the snowboard cross event. My uncle has been best friends with him sicnce he was a kid. Don't actually remeber meeting him since I was so young, but its pretty cool to be able to say you know an Olympian, especially when he actually has a very good chance to win.

there was a great quote from shaun white in today's paper:

Quote:
"i'm hoping," white said, "sasha cohen digs gold medalists."

No sport which relies on judges should be an olympic event. This would rule out skating, diving, snowboarding, skiing events that don't race against an opponent or the clock, and gymnastics.

I could easily live without any of those.

Growing up in South Florida , I'm not too familiar with some of these so-called sports. What the hell is Luge and Curling ? How many people actually spend their time training to compete in these events? Just say you win the gold in these events. Are you the best performer out of a couple hundred worldwide ? If you gave Terrell Owens 6 months to practice these sports , do you think he would have a chance to medal ?
