I llike the new Ike Reily just fine; yeah its rock, but since when did that become a problem. Its simple, hooky, drunk music. I would (and quite frankly have) put it on in a bar and at a party. People like it despite not knowing the difference between Ike and Poo Poo Bear or whoever, which brings me too.....

That Animal Collective is the biggest piece of GARBAGE I have ever listened to. I've had the damn thing for at least 3 months; I leave it in my truck because I do a lot of hard listening in there. I try, at least once a week....I just don't get it.

And I like the Arcade Fire just fine. If not for "The Dirty South" it would be my favorite of the year. It doesn't get old---even the less than stellar tunes.

Edit: You guys are a bunch of fucking sissies

I've never heard the animal collective so i can't comment, but i know that the Ike Reilly album really sounds like bad Offspring to me. Just my opinion. I wouldn't call you out and taunt you for it. I might just let you know that i don't dig it (unlike Radcliffe).

I haven't heard Dirty South yet either. The Georgia boys on the board love it so i'm not sure if it'll translate well with me. I'll have to check it out, but i'm not sure the southern bias will allow us all to give on honest assessment.

I'm full of it.

villified = misedeanor

killified = felony

The way I've seen it work in other places is like this:

When someone you've killfiled posts something, you see a message stating something like "This person is on your ignore list" instead of what they posted. You still have the option of clicking on a link to see the post if you really want to.

No kidding. Can someone use that in a sentence for me?

edit: Seriously. Is it like:

yo, bitch got killified

or

I was villified this summer after a night of drinking.

Is there going to be a host of anti-Arcade Fire and Anti-Animal Collective backlash on the Schmoo poll? Both'll probably be on my list...

Hmmm....this makes things interesting...

Also, is the credibility of Schmoopolloza going to go down the tubes for some people if something they don't like reaches #1?

I was a bit surprised as well. Though it'd at least make top 50.

If Arcade Fire is #1 then they have embarassed themselves. A year from now you'll agree.

Have you even listened to it?

My roommate likes it and has terrible taste in music. Then again, I think Sen. LooGAR digs it too.

I'm a bit late jumping in here, I've been on the restaurant Christmas Party circuit for a few days (AKA "AAAAAAAAAHHH")

Ike Reilly is so fucking good it amazes me. I don't give a fuck if the dude knows two chords, and plays drums with his asshole, I'm not a musician, I just know what I like. It ain't gotta be technical, it justs gots to be good.

As Kurtz said, its hooky, drunk music, my two favorite things in the fucking world. I don't hear The Offspring, I understand the Mellencamp, but dude I'll rock out to Little Pink Houses.

I can also attest to the fact that Radcliffe has at least heard Arcade Fire, because I sent it to him, and he PM'd me about it.

Personally, I think it kicks ass. But I understand Radcliffe's point that it ain't earth shattering, and that maybe the sheen'll wear off of it.

Oh, and a list w/o DBT ain't really even worth me talking about.

Not to call you out, dude, but this is bunk. We all come here to ARGUE (I mean discuss) about music. If it wasn't for me shitting in latter day Radiohead, I'd've never gotten that mix from you, which still rocks, btw. We don't have much musically in common, but I feel like I learn stuff from just about everybody.

You can always just choose to ignore it, but I think the notion of having an ignored list is silly.

I haven't really heard Ike Reilly indepth, i was just trying to behave like Radcliffe and totally dismiss something he likes in a condescending way.

Loogar - His voice is Offspringish. I won't be here to see the replies about the Wisconsin vs. Ga game so best of luck.
