1. Oh look, Kenny Loggins is James Hetfield

2. Every woman Chad's ever dated has, rightfully, kicked his teeth into his ass, I bet.

3. The tune's energy is good. Lyrics are the worst.

Radio, stop playing this now, k?

Whew! Thank goodness they aren't covering the Pink Floyd album.

The Case Against Kroeger, peoples exhibit A:

A1.) Your mom don’t know that you were missing
She’d be pissed if she could see the parts of you that I’ve been
kissin'

A2.)You’re beside me on the seat
Got your hand between my knees
And you control how fast we go by just how hard you wanna squeeze
It’s hard to steer when you’re breathing in my ear
But I got both hands on the wheel while you got both hands on my gears
By now, no doubt that we were heading south
I guess nobody ever taught her not to speak with a full mouth
‘Cause this was it, like flicking on a switch
It felt so good I almost drove into the ditch

A3.) We’re sitting in the back
And we just started getting busy
When she whispered “what was that?”
The wind, I think ‘cause no one else knows where we are
And that was when she started screamin’
“That’s my dad outside the car!”
Oh please, the keys, they’re not in the ignition
Must have wound up on the floor while
we were switching our positions
I guess they knew that she was missing
As I tried to tell her dad it was her mouth that I was kissing

---

Also, may it please the court to know Mr. Kroeger's lyric "I'm driving, black on black" actually sounds like "I'm driving like I was black."

I didn't know nickelback was a bad southern rock/country band.

i had a friend try to convince me that that song 'photograph' was a great song the other day and it was at that moment that i had my explaination for why nickleback is so popular--they are a country band with distorted guitars. even though i think they may be worse than creed, it all makes sense to me now. . .

A radio station around here did "Nickelback Theater" where they had some stuffy-voiced guy read the lyrics to Animal in a Masterpiece Theater style. It was hilarious, and I had NO idea the lyrics were so terrible.

How can people like this band?

My problem is not with their music. There's lots of suck-ass bands I can tolerate on other people radios off in the distance.

My problem is with Kroeger's clunknuts lyrics. Does he hate women as much as he seems to, ya think?

That was a funnier bit back when Steve Allen used to do it on "Solid Gold" in the '70s...

"Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. Stuff. Stuff. Stuff."

Oh, I know it wasn't original material or anything. Nickelback was playing Savvis here about a week ago, and these two DJs ripped on them for a few weeks straight prior to that. That's what was so funny to me.

That's 3 more thoughts than Chad had when he wrote the thing.

For some reason, those lyrics that Frosted posted reminded me of Eminem. A lazy Eminem at least.

Except Chad seems to think he's Metallica covering AC/DC on the song, which makes him even more silly.

upon reading this thread it makes it even harder to believe my brother drug me to calgary to see them play only 3 or 4 songs in an airplane hanger with horrible acoustics. they were more stoner band than rock band, which makes me wonder why they dont do it all the time.

Oh, I didn't hear about that. Sounds like something they'd do though.

It's pretty lousy, but it's nice to finally have a venue that size in town. I see a show there probably once a month that wouldn't happen otherwise.
