They are the Rock Band's Rock Band
and I love them, too.

Don't know, but one thing is for sure.... I won't be able to understand what the singer is saying and I won't care when it comes out.

Well we know you won't care. Weren't you just sounding off on how sick you are of indie guitar type bands?

You should pick up this instead:

As for Kings of Leon, they were my number 1 for 2005. I'm waiting for new stuff but I doubt we'll get it in '06. All I've read recently is that they are finalists for the New Pantheon Music Prize.

They were in the studio beginning around their date at the Vanderbilt Gymnasium this fall (can't quite remember when), and I've heard several people mention since then that they are in the studio. I'm expecting a follow-up this year, and I can't wait.

Brilliant, that's good to hear because I can't wait as well. Thanks for the update.

aha shake heartbreak is one of my favorites of the past few years. I, too, look forward to a new release.

I played Aha Shake Heartbreak almost 4 times all the way through on my Hurricane Rita evacuation adventure. It's short, but kicks ass.

All of this Kings of Leon love and no appearance in the Shmoo poll?

They were my #1 of 2005, too. Did you goons vote?

They almost made mine. But 'Milk' sounds like a molo anthem...so it would've had points subtracted for that.

That's such a funny song, not as funny as 'Soft', but still tres amusing.

My CD (which is not an advance) shows a date of 2004 plus I distinctly remember driving in the Shasta mountains Winter, 2004 listening to this.

Did it have another release ?

Amazon has its release date listed as February 22, 2005 which is the day I bought my copy as well. Do you remember the particulars when/where you bought it, as I'm certain that was the official NA release date. I know it leaked in fall 2004 because i was listening to it then as well.

Yes.
I picked it up with a few others @ Amoeba SF prolly third week of December, 2004. It was a going to be a long drive through the snow to Weed, Ca. by way of the Shasta Mountains so I needed a few CD's.
The only reason i remember this so clearly is that I was doing music related work in Weed so I needed reference CD's as well as a few new ones.
The sleeve definitely says 2004 with no indication of it being an advance.

The record company prolly shipped some out early-
