Last year I went to without a doubt the best Halloween party in Seattle. I have an invite again this year, but I'm lower on funds and I need to put together something that'll look decent on the cheap. Any ideas?

Just don a college shirt (campus of your choice), show up without any liquor, and presto: you're the annoying student who steals people's booze.

got any foam or carboard lying around the house? cut out two circles, spray paint them brown, and wear them like a sandwich board and voila -- you're a pancake!! will there be draft beer? even better! bring your own syrup bottle to drink out of.

This is what i did last year for way less than $20, and it won me a best costume prize. booya!

Yeah, there is all the beer and mixed drinks you can drink. All the food you can eat. I like that pancake idea. I think I'm gonna go with an oldie-but-a-goodie and take the 'nerd' route. I've never done it before and I'm certain I have the tools to make it work. Just need to get a pair of glasses.

There were some people dresssed up today at college.

I thought one was dressed as Kevin Federline (Mr. Britney Spears)

I found out, he was always like that.

Haha, and stereogum.com has an article about how to be the couple for Halloween.

i'd been planning my federline costume for weeks! and now, of course, stereogum's scooped it. i might still go as kevin, but i have a few back-up options. for the first time at halloween, i have a beard and i'm a little new to figuring out costumes that work well with beards.

Except, odds are...people wouldn't understand...because they're dense and don't find the funny things in news.

You could just grab old black clothes, glue ping-pong balls all over, and presto-tango, you're a CGI model!
