well, i got a call earlier this afternoon from a familiar yet unknown female voice asking what i was doing in the evening. then, as a joke, i asked, "is this my secret admirer?" and she replied, "yes." i said i wasn't planning on anything and she hung up. when i got home from running errands later, a girl that i'd met online many months ago was sitting on my couch. and we made dinner.

Well, this is certainly the creepiest valentine out there

I would've bought this for cemeterypolka if it weren't for the fact that the auction had already ended and I'd feel like a creepy old man for doing so.

I would have peed myself.

Well, Sharon came home from work with a fever (again).
And while I was preparing the artichokes for dinner, the knife slipped out of my hand, I caught the blade and had to go get a tetanus shot.

Those were all kinda surprises.
Does that count?

Well, my husband took charlie to the store and Charlie bought me a chocolate rose in a box.

And my husband came home with a box of Vosges truffles for me. I'm a huge truffle fan. Love em. mmmm These are champagne and rose water filled.

The white chocolate one: When I ate I seriously could taste the champagne and can swear I got a buzz off of it. Also, right after I ate it I went to move and a hand or foot jabbed into my stomach really hard, so either the baby liked the truffle or didn't. Can't tell. But it hurt.

I wasn't really expecting anything because my man & I aren't really into all the valentine's cards, flowers, etc...

We also had plans to go out for dinner with his granmother.

Turns out I came home to the news that the plans were cancelled (delayed flight), which was kind of sad.

...And it turns out my man bought us some amazing, liquer-soaked, choclate-dipped strawberries. mmmmmmmm.

We went to the restaurant at the end of our street (really good). They had a special Valentine's menu. So. Gooooood. They also had special dessert-like cocktails on the menu; mine tasted like chocolate ice-cream. mmmmmmmmmm.

Heh heh; there wasn't much "other romance" to be had once we got home though... they must have put sedatives in that food because we both fell asleep like logs within 5 seconds of hitting the pillow. heh heh.
