If I see those girls, i'm clubbing them like baby seals.

Foul temptresses.

I'm just sad cause I can't, and won't, have those cookies.

Caramel Delites (formerly Samoas)

Definitely the best variety

I ordered ummm several boxes from a girl in my bldg a few weeks ago. Apparently they won't come in til Feb 26th or something.

My favorites are the Thin Mints and Josh's the samoans or caramel delites or whatever the hell name they're going by these days. But yeah, I think I ordered 8 different boxes of cookies cause you can freeze em for months. It's awesome.

Actually, I love the peanut butter sandwich cookies, but we can't have those in our house because Ethan is allergic to peanuts and there could be some serious issues if he comes into contact with them, even second-hand.

I've never liked GS cookies. Don't like the BS pancake feeds either. Go quality ingredients or go home.

I ahven't had any yet. But I wish I could have thin mints. Once, when I worked at a group home and for the state of CA we got this food donation stuff tha would be delivered and there were massive amounts of thin mint boxes. We took almost all of them. Over the course of about 2 weeks I must have eaten 13 boxces of thin mints. God they're good.

those two make me incredibly happy, particularly the samoas. this is probably one of the most unfortunate things about being in europe this time of year. absolutely no way to get my hands on these suckers.

My favourites: Samoas. Still have some in the freezer from last quarter (they come in quarters for different regions -- I think my travels traverse like 2 or 3 different regions).

Will have to try those Cartwheels.

They don't hang out outside grocery stores? That's where I get mine.

A friend of mine: "I refuse to buy girl scout cookies unless I find out they're made from 100% genuine girl scouts."

Apparently "Samoas" is a politically incorrect name, now. They're called "Carmel Delights" or some such non-sense. I still ordered four boxes.

I view the kiddie fundraisers as an investment in maintaining good neighbor relations.

When I asked for Samoas, they gave me two boxes and took my money, so they're still Samoas to me.

I mean, it's not like they're calling them Samoans. And what's politically incorrect about Samoans? Now, if they called them "big fat guys", then I'd probably have a problem with it, but you know, that's what it makes me, so it's probably still correct nomenclature.

The problem is that the girl scouts have very little intstitutional knowledge, since the entire population turns over every three years or so.

Soon, no one in the organization will know what is a Samoa or that the name had changed. They'll never have cranky old girl scouts railing on how the new health-conscious ingredients have resulted in cookies that are not as tasty as the old cookies, and how todays "Carmel Delights" are a rip-off of the original "Samoas". I find this to be sad.

My purchase of 2 boxes of Thin Mints a month ago was somewhat of a "don't be the new guy on the job that doesn't order any" deal.

Plus, I love those Gawddamn cookies...& it's a good cause. Everybody wins.
