and honestly, why would a science project have a clock with hieroglyphics. it's pretty obviously a "hey audience, figure this out!" ploy, which is kind of lame.

See, I don't know if we know that or not. It may have run out - and whatever is happening just takes a while to do so. Things were clearly happening - we could hear sounds like clanking and stuff, so I'm thinking valves and doors were opening or something.

Whatever happened to Desmond? He's just a fast guy running through the jungle on his own. I was expecting Rousseau to find him but it appears she hasn't yet. So have the Others got him? He's not a stealth hunter or anything.

The return of Michael is going to be big. Bearded Other said that he wouldn't let Michael find them and they wouldn't hurt him. So what? Is he just going to run in circles for weeks before dying?

And I still want to know what the deal is with the smoke monster. Who is it tied to? The Others? It seems doubtful.

Also, Bearded Other was full of shit about not wanting the castaways on their island and them becoming unwelcome visitors. Because if that were the case, they wouldn't have blown up the raft.
