Go with the Milk Stout. My favorite seasonal so far this year has been the Snow Plow Milk Stout. Good stuff.

This is good stuff... DHR, are you in the Pac NW? My husband and I took one of those freebie tours of the Widmer brewery one Saturday just because we didn't have anything else to do, and we got lots of free samples of the Snow Plow. They also bottled it under another name (I think it was called the Night Rider) and served it to the riders in Cycle Oregon this past year (again, husband had it).

I know Chuck D has prolly had Widmer stuff before, just because of his former OR connections!

I'm from Spokane, Wa originally and i now live outside Boise, Idaho. I'm definitely a Northwesterner. I love it.

I'll be visiting a few micro-brew establishments in Spokane this next week to pick up some good stuff i can't find here to bring home.

Only thing I know about Spokane is I put on The Proud Graduates when I want to really, really, REALLY chill. Like not breathing or moving.

If you didn't hate the Stones, we'd be bff.

This is exactly what I do...but I also go into "Stones mode" where hearing Brown Sugar at top volume, and strutting around like a 6'9" Mick Jagger seems like the best idea in the world.

I have an Icehouse 22oz and a 16ozer left over from last nights shenanigans, and my "Big Boss Man" sub from Larry's is starting to cut the hangover.

Okay, now that I read about all you beer enthusiasts, we should set up a Portland Obner gathering for either the:

(a) International Beer Festival
http://www.portland-beerfest.com (site hasn't been updated for 05)

or

(b) Oregon Brewers Festival -- always the last full weekend in July
http://www.oregonbrewfest.com/

or

(c) Portland Holiday Ale Festival (in December every year-- talk about strong beers, get 'em here)
http://www.holidayale.com/

I'm fairly famous for these moves in certain parts of the Southeast. It ain't pretty, but it sure is fun.

Actually, I think my next avatar will be a pic of me at The Stones concert in 2002. You'll get a better idea of what kind of monger I truly am.

Just downed two Belgian white's and finishing up my Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. Who knows what happens after this? Probably two more stouts and an angry girlfriend.

My life is grand.

This girlfriend isn't the newly reborn girl you will be travelling with is it?

I'm drinking Dr. Pepper.

Those ones are hard to find. In my experience girl's have a lower threshold for blasphemy than most dudes. (I can think of at least 2 chicks that I missed out on scoring with by making some errant Jebus comment)

Instant laughter again. Shiv is going to have tough competition in two months. Unless Georgia beats Wisconsin ....which in reality is almost guarenteed.

Hopefully. I've actually been depressing over the end of football. Bloor keeps reminding me that we haven't even seen the best stuff yet, but SHIT!

We have a saying: "There's only two seasons. Football season and waiting for football season."

I guess there's NASCAR, but SHIT!

Not much of a NASCAR guy but i love pissing off this Earn Jr. fan at work. He's a complete douche bag. I won this national Nascar fantasy league last year and he was so pissed. I won tickets to the Richard Petty driving school and free shoes from Reebok. I gave my girl the shoes and sold the tickets to the jerk in my office. It was great. I was all over fantasyracing.com for a full week. #1 out of 10,000 and i didn't even care for the sport.

DHRjericho still haunts coworkers nightmares.

great stuff

Wow. That's pretty tight. I'm a Junior guy myself, but I'm not HUGE into NASCAR, but I'll watch it.

The jerk at work hates Gordon so i tend to mention him on the week's he does well.

He tries to come back later and diss Gordon and i just tell him that i don't like NASCAR, which frustrates him to no end. Man is he easy.

At least he hates Gordon...everyone hates Gordon. NASCAR fans can tend toward fanatical.

I was never much of a NASCAR fan, until I went to my urologist for a check-up and for some reason he urged me to closely monitor the progress of Dick Trickle.

I'm just going on hearsay, but... isn't the Country Fair kinda weird? Like, a lot of leftover druggies from the 60s go to this? I could be completely wrong, but I know the leftover druggie from the 60s that I work with (who is quite weird in other regards) -- he even thinks it's weird, and that says a lot.

I've never been, so quite honestly, I shouldn't even comment.
