i may have converted to a new drink this week myself, switching from my standard gin (which i still love) to taking whisky neat. i find that i'm forced to drink it slower, and still get just as drunk. fantastic.

Oooh whiskey neat is sounding good right now. I should try that. Maybe I'll drink that later at the show I'm going to tonight.

Alcohol got me in this mess, alcohol will get me out.

The first time I ever got drunk it was on Wild Turkey, not something that I would recomend. God it was an awful night, about 12 shots in one hour. I ended up throwing up for about an half hour then going on to cheat on my girlfriend only to forget about by the next morning. The worst part was all of my friends telling the stupid stuff that I did the next day.

whiskey gives me the best drunk and the least hangovers/stomach problems of pretty much any drink these days.

i can drink many jack and cokes and feel fine but lately 3 or 4 beers make me drunk as fuck and sick.

Whiskey just hits me like a ton of bricks after maybe 2-3 glasses (so...6 shots?). I can do with a few shots or sipping away at a few on the rocks, but woah, after that, I am a disaster.

i like to go to bars and draw for a few hours.
here is my timeline:

first sip: ahh, this is nice. i feel warm inside. lets draw.
half a glass: man, life rules. Hey cool, my drawings are awesome!
full glass: lets talk to the wierd dude next to us! wow, this drawing is cool!
2nd glass: wow, that drink went quick! maybe i should do another drawing. eh. maybe later
3rd glass: wow, this is the sloppiest crappiest drawing i've ever done! lets make 7 of them!

hmmm, maybe i should switch to beer.

1st beer: i'm bored of drawing, i'm going to write horrible horrible poetry
2nd beer: i think it's time to go home and eat everything in my house

so what do you draw?

some cartoonist guy drew me and my friends out at a bar once. no one knew he was doing it, he just came up to us and gave us the drawing and started talking about jesus. it was odd.

Jewels won't talk to you about Jesus.

He'd also probably keep the pic.

Strictly a bourbon man myself---Blantons is my favorite.

I expected to like Scotch, but I just don't---go figure. I've had 2 rather expensive bottles of scotch in my liquor storage for 4 years now. My father-in-law's a big scotch drinker, and he's the only one that has touched them.

I'm big on bourbon and like Irish whiskey about as much. Scotch is good but a notch down in my book. Favorite whiskey list:

1. Blantons
2. Woodford Reserve
3. Crown Royal Reserve
4. Bushmill's
5. George Dickles

Almost the same here except I like vodka and rum.

Rather than the straight up Jameson, I recently bought a bottle of this for my Father-in-law. It's smooth like butta'....

I like it neat, or sometimes with crushed ice.

I CANNOT drink this though before or after Beer. Bad Combo.

I used to drink this like water in high school... that's why I didn't touch whiskey for a LONG time. Just the smell of it didn't make me happy.

But Jameson... mmm....
