there's a gun range where they will let you shoot machine guns. you can't eat there, but it's the best thing in town.

I haven't been there in over 10 years but the all you can eat buffet at the Mirage Casino there was awesome. I suppose any of the buffets at the big casinos would be good though.

Sushi? Best place is Nobu (located at the Hard Rock hotel). On the pricey side, but omg the food is the best ever. Be sure to make reservations as well.

A club I like is Club Ice. Not as cheesy as the other Vegas clubs... depending on what night you go, there's some good electronic music playing. Not sure if that's up your alley, but for dancing & drinks, it's a good time.

I'm not going to Vegas for a loooong time after my last trip. Way too crazy. One week in Vegas is far too much.

I wish i could remember the name of the strip club i lived in for 2 weeks.

Last time i was there i got kicked out at 5am, i was complaing that it was 24 hours but they only had one dog ugly stripper on duty and i'd rather hump a dead camel than get a lapdance from her.

I was so hammered and i ended up trying to get a hook-up for some pharamcueticals from the wrong guy and it all ended in threats to go and get his gun and put holes in me. He knew that i was staying at the nearby hostel, so i packed my shit up quick and took the next bus outta there.

at most of the casinos if you sit at a slot machine or whatever for awhile a waitress should come around and get you a drink for free.

I wish i could remember. It was on Las vegas boulevard halfway between the New york casino & Fremont (I know this is quite a distance). There was a record store a couple of minutes away from the hostel, towards the main strip & the club must be pretty close to that.

There's an excellent mom and pop "indie" record store down by UNLV... Big B's Records. Maryland Parkway and Tropicana I think.. about 4 miles off the strip. Also across the street is Balcony Lights which is another record store which is more hardcore and screamo. I hit vegas a couple of times a year and always visit those 2 stores.

That would put you square in the middle of the SHIT. Be glad you didn't leave there wearing your balls as a necklace.

Big B's has been one of the very few things I've liked about Las Vegas, but... I went in there last wk-end for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I have the feeling that something has changed, like maybe new ownership.

I didn't recognize any of the people working, and their staffing turnover was remarkably low in the last almost four years. Also, the amount of used cd's available was noticeably diminished- maybe not by 1/2, but close to it. I almost asked the guy running the register (he wasn't letting the 3 other people touch any money, which is also weird)- next time I stop in, I will.

Damn shame if it goes sour- it's been a sweet place that's made a ton of money just off me.

Also across the street and just south of the other record joint's strip mall is a tavern called The Freakin' Frog- I think they may have acoustic music on the week-end. Amazingly large selection of beers from all over the world. Nothing fancy, but a qual "neighborhood" type place.

From the location you describe, the strip joint sounds like Crazy Horse II, off the Strip on Industrial & Sahara. And if anybody believes there's no mob activity in Las Vegas, that joint will dispel any such notions. In a hurry.

It was on the main strip for sure. Let me see if i can find a map.

Yeah actually , that industrial runs right next to the main and the Crazy horse rings bells. And the place was very dodgy.

i gotta check out google earth. I'm sorry i guess this is pretty damn dull for you.

All right, after checking google earth i have the strip club on South las vegas boulevard right next to the "Welcome to the fabolous las vegas nevada sign" where the 604 meets south 4th street.

Pointer 36091195 N 115090267 W.

Anybody which club?

Kiev,

A few eateries here:

The Tillerman- steaks and fresh seafood. Excellent. 2245 E. Flamingo

Battista's Hole In The Wall- Italian. Only a couple of blocks east of the Strip at the corner of Flamingo and Audrey- pretty good stuff.

Gaetano's- Italian. In the burbs of Henderson. Very good. 10271 Eastern #111

Sergio's Italian Gardens. Excellent. 1955 E. Tropicana.

In the same old strip mall as Lotus of Siam on Sahara, there's another Thai joint called Komol that I like even better than Lotus.

If yr feeling in a carnivore mood, Yolie's Brazilian Steak House, 3900 Paradise. Get the fixed price eat- meat-until-you-die meal. Grilled mixed meats brought on those big ass swords and carved onto yr plate. Throw the side dishes on the floor or at the waiter and eat a bunch of dead animals. Good shit.

Holy fuck, son, you were on the entire other end of the world from where you originally described. That's only about 3 miles from my house, but I never go around even that part of the Strip, so no help.

Fremont Street is on the far NORTH end of the Strip- that area yr talking about is 10 miles south of Fremont.
