They would have said "we'll bring you dinner…clams tonight!"

Download some TV shows and then listen to music when you're done with that. That's my plan.

Oh yeah. I picked up two new clients this week, plus I one of my "pops-up-out-of-nowhere-every-few-months-client-with-a-big-project" emailed me this folder/brochure/wrap (I really haven't looked at it yet) thing he needs done up.

It's always interesting because it's a Department of Defense contractor, and I don't have security clearance, so the details are always pretty vague, if I get any at all. Somehow though, he gives me enough of an idea of what he needs without giving up any government secrets or juicy pictures of the radar and mapping systems they make. It's fun, because half the time I have no idea what I'm supposed to be selling, but he's always pleased and keeps bringing me profitable jobs shrouded in secrecy.

A year or so ago I designed the interface icons for this software program they have, and I had to have a meeting with an engineer (short sleeves, tie) who could explain what they icons were supposed to represent, but my guy sat in on the meeting so that not too much was divulged. It made for some funny descriptions due to some deliberate tiptoeing.

Oh yeah. Once again, I get lucky. I was going to use the Jan-Feb. downtime to set up a real plan to get some new clients, since I've got a steady group right now and could take on the extra work, but 3 phone calls just appeared out of nowhere without me actually doing anything.

I'm heading out to see Novillero and the New Pornographers, but I'm kinda wishing I could just stay home and drink the Chimay Reds I bought today.

I fell asleep from 8.30 to 11.30 and when I woke up, ate three "Ready to Bake" Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies.... Without baking them first.

I win.

I read this earlier without realizing the NBA dunk contest was on tonight. So I took it as, "Drunk contest in a few hours?"

That's not a bad idea. An Obner drunk posting contest.
