Not only has the dude failed to medal in any of his events, he's failed to FINISH in two of his three events. I don't dislike him personally, but everyone's hyped this muhfuh to high holy Heaven, and he just isn't getting it done.

i was thinking that dan vs dave (no idea what their last names are, maybe one guy's an o'brien) thing in 1992 is way up on the list of biggest busts in the olympics, but bode miller's probably this year's biggest disappointment. it's funny to see him dq or dnf and then be on a commercial at the next break. it's seemed to work out that way each time. coincidence?

The real shame of it all is when rich, white folks fail at rich, white sports. How about Weir blaming his shitty performance on the bus schedule?

I just can't get into the Winter games anymore.

Yup. Dave Johnson and Dan O'Brien. One failed to qualify for the olymipcs. I think it was Johnson.

Yeah, that was another one with tons of pre-Olympic commercials touting greatness that failed to materialize. Good call!

I would like to take a moment and fondly recall the biggest busts in Olympic history, those of Katarina Witt.

jeremy wotherspoon would qualify more so than bode miller. hes the most winningest speed skater of all time, but only one medal to show for it through his whole career.

i bet the ratings would be better if they had some 'reality tv' coverage
of the village.
all that hardcore-3-condoms-a-day international fuck-fest is sure to brew up some drama.
more than the figure skating pairs long program.
that shit's like nascar:
it's boring as hell, but if i have to watch, i hope there's a crash.

The thing is, he's completely laughing in all our faces because he's made the money from endorsements already. Not to mention, his name will be on the mouths of so many people after the Olympics, he's carved a niche for himself good or bad. It'll definitely be worth a bookdeal.

Wilbon on PTI was ranting the other night about the Americans lack of respect for the games, and how many are saying that they could care less about medals, etc. From what I've seen he's on the mark. But then you have people like Cheek(s?) who sounds like a genuinely great guy trying to make things better for others with his fame. What makes me upset is in the opening ceremonies you see countries who could only send 1 athlete or who sent athletes but couldn't afford to feed them, so a local Italian town took up collections for them. You look at that, and then you hear someone like Weir or Bode, and you just want to slap them.

I talked to Bode for a few moments at a press conference when he was a lot younger. That was one hyped-up adrenaline junkie dude.

"Yeah...but I ended up on that Wayne & Garth 'hot chick' list. So suck it, FT!"

( BTW...after yer mention of "biggest busts" you have NO idea how badly I wanted to post one of the NSFW pics of her funbags. )

Witt had a masculine, East German guardhouse sentinel type of face.

But did any man care at the time? Nope, we didn't.

I wish Hedrick would quit his whining about Davis not wanting to be on the team pursuit.
