I know that most of y'all dont "get" NASCAR, but I'm glad its back. After the NFL, its my favorite sport.

Plus, my buddy just got me a screename/password for Trackpass (which gives you access to all the in-car audio and video) so I am stoked! Listening to Jr. and Dale Jarrett right now....this is so fucking cool.

and if your testicle's drop before then, you'll be watching the Vegas race (even though that track is pretty boring).

you can defend this sport to yourself all you want. these things might be fun to attend from a spectacle point of view, but there's just not much going on here. period.

so tell me why F-1 is more exciting C? honestly, ive tried to watch but it seems like a league where there is very little competitive balance because some teams have so much money (Ferrari por ejemplo) that it renders competition null.

I'll freely admit that in any given NASCAR race there are 15-20 teams/cars that have NO chance but that leaves 20-25 cars to compete.

It'd competitive as shit.

and then there IS that......

i dunno, there's good drama, the pit shit is intresting and its a sport you can nap and read a book to. what better way to waste away Sunday afternoons?

this in car audio is fucking awesome btw. its the equivalent of listening to the convos between coaches and QBs in the NFL.

DOUBLE J!

Looks like the track was kinda sloppy, and there's a lot of shit talking post race.

Always a fun way to kick off the season...

GO JUNIOR!!!

Screw Johnson. It's always great to see a sport lose more credibility by letting the cheaters win. I'm happy that it sounded like the crowd was either silent or boo-ing for his win.

I'm a Stewart fan, but I'm ashamed of the way he drove and acted today. It's a shame to see him start out the season as the 'old' Stewart again.

I was pulling for Hamlin and Martin by about halfway today...and Schrader (I always pull for Kenny).

And oh yeah, Gordon is talking now about how he shares blame on the early 20-24 wreck...that's honest and classy. Edwards was the same way. If the sport wants to portray themselves as honest, upstanding, etc - there need to be more Mark Martins, Carl Edwards and (at least in today's instance) Jeff Gordons.

So, congrats to Schrader on the Top 10 finish...woo-hoo!

Dude, Gordon is a dirty driver (and though you can start a fight by saying this but.....Jeff Gordon has a lot more in common with Senior than Dale Jr.), so I only take his apologies at face value.

Stewart did drive like a pussy today but I think it's b/c he doesnt care about the BS that goes on in this race as opposed to winning another championship.

You're right about Gordon being more like Sr, than Jr. It's nice to hear someone say something like that. I now live in NC, so it's unthinkable to have someone say something bad about any member of the Royal Family, let alone say something comparing Gordon to St. Earnhardt.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying on the second point - what was your explanation of Stewarts shitty driving?

Thanks. Its not an opinion I can share amongst some of my more fanatical friends.

Oh, and on Tony: I think he drove really carefully based on his criticism of bump drafting all week.

I thought Tony drove way too rough today. First off, he should've backed off on Gordon. And more importantly, he was all cranky with Kenseth for something that he shouldn't have been upset about, and as a result he spun out Kenseth.

I'm all for Stewart driving hard, but driving pissed never works out well for him in the longrun.

True true. I just though he backed off and ( i wasnt listening to his radio so im not totally sure) it seemed like they reeled him in a bit after that BS with Matt K.
