Because it's karaoake where you get to sing along with a live band, rather than a crappy recording.

Yes, that is the magnificent katie, a princess actually propping me up more than backing me up. I don't like to get up in front of people, but since the crowd was largely comprised of such noted Obner/CMJ folks as HaqDiesel, Spade Kitty, Charli_lady, Josh B, cybin, and AMPERSAND, I was much more at ease than I would have been in a room full of strangers.

That's Joe Fossett, I'd recognize that Les Paul with the big Kiss sticker anywhere. And it looks like they're on stage at Schuba's.
