Fuck, man. Remember when there were good baseball announcers? Someone reanimate Mel Allen. This Joe Buck horseshit needs to go.

If only we had better healthcare in America.

Curt will be missed. I agree that the days of great baseball announcers are slipping away.

Not that I've heard. I believe he's alive, and still calling Dodgers on radio and/or tee-vee.

Ernie Harwell's kickin', also, but can't say if he got pulled off the CBS Radio call for playoffs/World Series. (I know he's not on the Tigers cast, anymore.)

Geez. I thought Harwell kicked, too.

....summer in LA, or rather indian summer, the september race with the Giants, Koufax pitching after two days rest... shut out through the seventh inning... the warm santanas blowing off the mountain... and there was no inch of the county where you could not hear Sculley's voice... the calm yet passionate strength of expertise and class.... Vinny's voice IS the american soul...

oh, wait a minute, it's Gowdy that's gone... may he rest in peace, but I always think he seemed like he was a little drunk...
