Think about this and post accordingly. It can be fictitious or real shows you've seen in the past. I will be grading these. Extra points for details such as seat and venue locations, homers at the concert, and stories that would presumably go along with it.

Anyone want to play?

Not really.

I've seen too many Barenaked Ladies concerts to bother reminiscing.

Not surprisingly, this says a lot about you. Were you hoping to see tits and ass at the show?

In the words of Edwyn Collins,

"Yes yes yes it's the summer festival
The truly detestable
Summer festival"

Try to beat

The Beach Boys with John Stamos and Paula Abdul (and a catatonic Brian Wilson seated in a chair, not performing)
at the Northern Maine Agricultural Fair, July 4, 1986.

I've done things I'm ashamed of in my life, but that's unforgiveable.

edit: It couldn't have been '86. Paula wasn't even signed then. Damn, my memories going. Must have been '88 or '89.

Well....

mathcbox twenty many times, though I did get to see Foutains of Wayne and the Jayhawks as openers.

I saw Three Doors Down with the bands Stir and Mile in a little club outside of Albany once. There were a bunch of "angry" boys there and I almost got stuck in their mosh pit.

I saw Matchbox Twenty with Train once but it was because the Old 97s opened and I wanted to take my sister.

I saw Paula Abdul and Color Me Badd together. That probably tops my list. Though Brian Adams and Storm is up there as well.

The one I would be least-likely to attend would probably be Nickleback / Scott Stapp / Train but I've never seen that lineup.

The Paula Abdul / Color Me Badd show is the one I'm most embarrassed to tell people I saw but I was in Jr. High at the time if that means anything.

Real concert: Tesla with Great White and Warrant opening . . . at Big Surf (a water park near Tempe, AZ.) Dirty rotten filthy stinking crappy concert in the single worst "venue" I've ever seen a concert in (venue is probably far too grand a word to describe Big Surf) - but hey, it was 1989 (maybe 90?) and I was 16.

Isn't the Storm that band that the remnants of Journey formed? (Nevermind - AllMusic answers yes.)

Any concert lineup with Celine Dion involved is the worst one.

Wow, I didn't know that. I remember the album cover had a man with an umbrella on it but don't remember their single or anything.

Love got him to stand up and shuffle to the microphone halfway through after saying something like "we've got a legend right here in Presque Isle just for you"

Wilson mumbled something unintelligible, the crowd cheered, Wilson shuffled back to his chair at the edge of the stage.

Love was hideous, Stamos cloying, but a decent drummer. Abdul wasn't scantily clad enough and only sang back-up on two songs.

Most of the concert I spent chatting up a cute co-worker, but I remember some drunken behemoth bozo howling "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech BOYZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" over and over so loud you could hear it louder than the concert sometimes.

I wandered off to do some gambling on the fair midway after about an hour, with the knowledge that that was the biggest has-been band was ever going to come to Presque Isle.

My area always gets the formerly-famous when they're decrepit but
still-touring.

Like I saw Chuck Berry....umm...in 1992.

Old 97's! I knew there was some other good band I had seen because of matchbox twenty. I think I went to two or three shows on that tour.

Tesla kicks absolute ass live....and Great White (love me or hate em) are a solid live band as well.

I think the worst line-up we have had at the arena I work at was either Cinderella with Ratt and Firehouse, I think Great White was going to play but they dropped. It was this past summer.
We also had Linkin Park with Alien Ant Farm and Good Charlotte with Simple Plan and I believe MXPX and Stretch Arm Strong.

Fictionally speaking, I'd say something like Nickelback, Creed and Puddle of Mudd or Yanni, John Tesh and Kenny G.
