Heh, I wish. Nah, it's a petty argument, but my husband sometimes has this..... issue..... with shouting without thinking. The thing is, the point he was trying to make with me was a very valid one, but the delivery was just all wrong, and he should have known better.

Gina does the same thing to me. She's italian, they yell. And I never deal with it well, or rather, anything i do to deal with it sets her off even more. Not much to do about it though, is there?

I hate even more the unintentional "I'm mad in general, hence I am mad at you" yelling, which I generally flip out over, thus escalating the situation. We're both gradually training each other to avoid this scenario.

i feel like she's allowed to vent in her way, and i'm expected to vent by sitting there and taking it, because if i vent back she falls apart. And I can't deal with that.

So married folks... is it worth it?

Yup. Because it's human nature to disagree and sometimes we all yell.

I've been with my wife for 10 years this August, and we have never once yelled at each other. It's all about personal respect.

I think so, because in the end, it's all good. Everybody has bad days from time to time. We don't have too many bad days, really and truly. And this is coming from the girl who's been with the same man for almost 15 years (only married 9 of those).

And as Radcliffe said, it's all about respect, and also, in my opinion, learning how to read each other clearly.
