yesterday, most liquor stores' (mainly madison and wisconsin)shelves were stocked w/ this gold medal winner from last year's GABF. it's part of dan carey's unplugged series. let me say, i've been waiting for this one since i read about, and it's really complex. imagine the taste of his belgian red (the cherry) mixed with his new sweet stout recipe and cask conditioned in oak bourbon barrels. like i said, it's complex. GO OUT AND BUY THIS BEFORE IT RUNS OUT!!! i also recommend storing some away in your basements to let it mellow and smooth out.

This sounds more up Cap'N's alley than mine. But hell, since I can I might just go get some of this in a sec.

You had me at Chocolate Stout, but you lost me at Cherry. Will try if I have the opportunity, but I enter a skeptic.

We have oodles of choices here, but no New Glarus. I'm willing to set up a trade through mail for one, if anyone is interested.

Don't think we'll get this here, but tonight I picked up a Cherry Chocolate stout from the local O'Fallon brewery. It's delicious!

You know, I adore most of their beers, but the cherry lambic is WAY overkill for me. Just too syruppy, too sweet, no subtlety. But this may be good. Shit, I'll probably pick some up just to find out.

And there's a package store a block away!

It's... interesting. I taste their over-the-top cherry in there, as well as a nutty, medium-bodied stout. I don't think I'd buy it again, based on this taste.

why would anyone drink "insert something that you don't like here"?
cause it's a good fucking beer.
better than most domestics.
and cheap as a puerto rican hooker.
payday awaits!

there's no other reason for drinking this besides the fact that i like it.
room-temp.

Ye Olde Style is as cheap as Puerto Rican hookers but most importantly, THEY BOTH SUCK!

Cheap brews I can tolerate:

MGD

...and that's about it.

I tend to like the creamy stout ales and dark lagers best but for an everyday beer I'd take something like:
