The above image is the new teaser poster for "Spider-Man 3." It is interesting to note that the image is not black and white, but that Spider-Man's costume is actually black. It remains to be seen if that is just for image effect or if there will actually be a black costume in the movie. It should be noted that one of the villains in the film, Venom, traditionally wore a black costume similar to Spider-Man's costume.

The film is due out in May of 2007.

That's pretty hot...That pic of sandman floating arounds the interweb looks pretty good as well..I have high hopes for this...

i wish it would come out this year, but i cant see it going against superman.

It'll be interesting to see if they can pull of the Venom/Secret Wars style storyline.

As far as the Sandman being involved, he is probably right up there with Kraven as one of my least favorite Spidey villains.

I don't think I'll be seeing this one in theatres. The Sandman pic pumped me up but this is just more proof that they might be skipping 20 years and going straight into Venom.

I don't see how they can get away with introducing Gwen Stacy and Venom in the same pic. Maybe Venom will throw her off the bridge causing her death? So that Spider-Man 4 can be all about the clone wars? Yeah, why not.

It was pretty war-like.

The war between the fans and the writers at that time was pretty serious.

The only way I'll be happy with venom in this movie is if he's just a teaser for spiderman 4.

I know the Toby Maguire's stuntman for the past two Spiderman movies and can only assume that he's part of S3. I'll ask him about the black costume.

Yeah, I guess the movie doesn't have to actually be anything like the source that it's being based on.

So you expect them to make enough movies to put 65 years of Spider-Man onto film? Getting mad about them skipping 20 years to Venom is kind of silly.

I'd be happy with Venom being in this movie or the next one being about the Secret Wars or whatever as long as they're as good as the first 2 movies. I could care less about continuity.

Me? I didn't like the Daredevil movie and haven't seen Elektra and I don't see how that matters.
