This is why I never take reviews at face value. The first paints the new East River Pipe to be akin to the second coming:

The second basically calls it pig vomit:

Whereas, it's actually a very good album by a guy in need of a full band.

Wow a full band behind some of the songs in his canon of music would be outstanding.

the second review is right. "what are you on" is really, really annoying.

Yeah, I listened to it the other day. It's not AWFUL or anything, but it is definately annoying.

Shows how opinions can vary. Personally, I think the second review is one of the worst written I've ever read. And I like the album a lot.
