For the record, they're my favorite band and this was the first time I'd ever seen them live, so take my glee into consideration.

The first track blew me away and was pretty much the closest I've come to a religous experience. The other one that completely blew me away was 'Electronic Renaissance'. That song has no right to be that amazing live. I was caught way offguard.

They have so many songs that I would've loved to hear that I can't fault them for not playing them all. 'Your Cover's Blown' was another nice surprise.

The New Pornographers were pretty great too. Even without knowing any of the new album.

The setlist:

The Stars Of Track And Field
Another Sunny Day
Women's Realm
Sukie In The Graveyard
To Be Myself Completely
Electronic Renaissance
Middle Distance Runner
The Blues Are Still Blue
Fox In The Snow
Funny Little Frog
White Collar Boy
She's Losing It
Your Cover's Blown
Act Of The Apostle II (w/ Andrea on vocals)
Dylan In The Movies
Dog On Wheels
I'm A Cuckoo
The Wrong Girl
Judy And The Dream Of Horses

Encore:
Me And The Major
Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying

$87 Canadian I paid in total. Not counting train fare.

I'm an idiot, considering I don't have a job anymore. But I still think it was pretty much worth it.

yeah they're one of those bands where you'll regret it if you love them and never see'em.

i'm a little disappointed in that set list on paper, so i hope they mix it up a little for when they're in milwaukee in march. i'm looking forward to it, though. i think the life pursuit's songs sound like they'll translate well live.

Can't wait for this show.

Meanwhile, back when the Chicago tickets went on sale I bought five of them. In addition to my own I sold three to classmates right away and I've had the last one hanging around. Now, suddenly, I have three friends who want it. Wish they had decided earlier, the slowpokes.

Ack on this set list. Unless I am out of it.

I love most of "...Arab Strap", and "Dear Catastrophe Waitress" and only one song between those two Cd's ???

ACK!

I want to hear "It could have been a brilliant career", and "Wrapped up in books" !!!

My favourite live memory of Belle & Sebastian was when they played 'The Boy With The Arab Strap' during their open air gig at Glasgow Botanic Gardens.

Bouncy.

I am flying to Nashville to see this concert, play a round of golf, and visit with my brother and his family for a few hours. Can't wait.

They're always big on the Sinister tracks. I know many consider this their best album, but yeah, I think I like Tiger and DCW better.

I would've loved to have heard more tracks off the EP's. Anything from the Barman comp.

Ah, you can always complain about setlists from a band with such a deep, high-qual catalog as B&S.

"Your Cover's Blown"? Damn. I'd freak out.

I aggree with the Crackster---I need to see this band.

this song was great when i saw them here a couple years ago...but i think the open air thing is key. my favorite part of their fans only dvd is the clip of them playing this live at coachella.

i still hope to one day see them perform lazy line painter jane.
