I went to high school with Corey Hart, he was a good guy and a pretty good friend. haven't spoken with him in about 25 years, just after he released sunglasses at night.

Another high school class mate named Dafna Kastner had some limited hollywood success and is married to Harvey Keitel.

Canadians might know another of my HS connections...Moishe Safdie's (architect) daughter was also in my class, and Mordecai Richler's son was 1 year ahead of me.

I don't "know" a goddamn person that is famous.
My dad does transportation on films shot in Chicago, so he knows lots of movie stars. I've met one or two, but wouldn't say that I "know" them.

I've hung out with Nash Kato (Urge Overkill) a couple of times, but wouldn't say that I know him either.

Okay, so people I've MET... ONCE:
Richard Lloyd (Television/Matthew Sweet)
Jonathan Richman
Jeff Mangum
Scott Spillane
Daniel Stern (actor: Breaking Away, Diner, Home Alone, etc...)
Blacke Onasis (Urge Overkill)
Jim Ellison (Material Issue)

And I am related to... the Saperstein family (founder of the Harlem Globetrotters)

EDIT: And I ran into Michael Jordan once... at the video store. In 1986 or 87. (I grew up in the same town where he lives.)

You left out the Shining/Kubrick audition!!! I always get a kick out of picturing Lil' PopTodd on that Big Wheel.

Oh yeah!
I met Stanley Kubrick when I was 7.

And I DID have a Big Wheel of my own, you know....
