so, i always buy my own calendar to hang up at work. (i like my surroundings to reflect me and a plain ol calendar just won't do.)
so, this year i purchased a beatles calendar from border's to hang above my desk. i use a calendar A LOT with my job. (scheduling ads in the paper. appointments with clients. etc.)
about a week into the new year my ad assistant (who enters my ad orders into our system) kept telling me that i had all the dates and days screwed up on my orders. i couldn't understand it. i would check and double check my ad order. i thought they were right. then she would tell me they were wrong....once again.
i thought i was going crazy.
but, then i figured it out. apparently, the first day of a BEATLES' WEEK is MONDAY and NOT sunday. and that's why all of my days and dates didn't match up. i didn't pay attention to the day above the columns. i NEVER do. it's a calendar. they're ALWAYS the same.
what the christ!?! you can't change something as universal as the day a calendar starts in the united states.
thank god for my ad assistant who was catches my errors. i could've lost the company a lot of money with ads running on the wrong days.
anyway. i tried to tough it out. but it's really hard to a habit as ingrained as this.
so, today is a wonderful day. because i got A NEW CALENDAR!
yaaaaaaaaay!
