Big fuck you to this week, and a couple of other people.

Fortunately, I'm taking Friday off to make an extended weekend with the boys of my family at Lake Placid NY!

I got this lovely message from my counterpart this morning: I know you have a lot to handle but, honestly, the royalty processing we have to do dwarfs the accounting work you do that end ...

Totally misguided and uncalled for. Cheers, mate. Motherfucker.

I'm so sick I'm coughing up brown shit all day long.
I have about 10 minutes total to write a 12 page research paper.
I failed a midterm horribly.
My best friend/drinking buddy just moved across the country to Virginia.
My girlfriend broke up with me.

And that was just Monday.

Fuck this week. Seriously.

not necessarily... but that is one of the factors. there's just so much going on right now, i'm losing it- between trying to kick ass at the new job, but having a boss who's a control freak and yells at me for stupid shit, adjusting to a new environment, moving, and finding a new place, etc... not to mention one of my friends got into a car accident on sunday so you know, when it rains, it pours.

This is my first day back at work because of Mardi Gras. Hell of time but I'm paying for it now.

Withthe exception of getting paid yesterday and new SCRUBS last night, this week can eat me.

It gets easier as you go along, generally. And pretty much EVERY boss can be figured out / managed. Just get good at relaxing on your offtime, though between Tania and Grey Goose it sounds like you have that part down to a science.

It's gotten to the point where I actually rewind and replay every time Kelso says "Turkleton." The only things I like better about that show are any "performances" by Ted (either barbershop quartet or air band) and scenes with Sarah Chalke in a bra. I'm gonna miss it when it gets cancelled, because with the microscopic ratings they've been getting, that's going to happen sooner rather than later.

Last week was my hell week (wife in the hospital, I was busy as hell at work and dealing with clients I don't necessarily like, and other work issues). But hey, I got through it, and this week is much better (wife is feeling much better and work has quieted down a bit), so I'm sure next week will be just fine for you having a tough week this week.

Here's wishing you the bluest sky,
And hoping something better comes tomorrow.
Hoping all the verses rhyme,
And the very best of choruses to
Follow all the doubt and sadness.
I know that better things are on the way.

Here's hoping all the days ahead
Won't be as bitter as the ones behind you.
Be an optimist instead,
And somehow happiness will find you.
Forget what happened yesterday,
I know that better things are on the way.

Ummm..yesterday sucked.

Today is good.

And tomorrow we find out if we're having a boy or girl. So week seems to be getting better.

I hope things get better for the rest of you.

Pumachik, I'm so sorry to hear things are going that way for you. How long have you been at your new job for? Give yourself a little reassurance from the fact that the first 1-2 months of a new job is almost always extra tiring and stressful. Everything is new & therefore takes that much more energy to process. Boss problems aside, at least know things will become more natural eventually and will therefore become quite a bit easier for you.

So many changes at once is bound to be stressful. Sounds like your life is pretty chaotic now.

Moving sucks. I totally underestimated the time it would take me to get unpacked, organized and settled. It seems like 90% of my free time for the last 2 months were spent apartment hunting, packing, unpacking, dealing with all the address changes, furniture shopping, etc. I'll be so glad when I'm situated and can start to actually spend my free time exploring my neighborhood, relaxing and having fun.

Having a critical boss can be a good thing. You always know where you stand and you learn faster. You probably just need to get used to it and not take it personally. Not to put more pressure on you, but busting your hump and making a real strong first impression in the first few months is almost a license to slack a bit later without it hurting you. Always good to try to do. I'm much better at giving advice than following it myself unfortunately.

I haven't had a particularly bad week but its sucked to know that carnaval was going on and I wasn't celebrating it for the first time in a long long time.

I feel ya, girl. Been a LONG few for me as well. And since there are things that only I do, and can only be done from the office, I am swamped. And my printer is off-line, so I can't do much about it...

1. Maybe you should go to a doc if you haven't already for that brown shit
2. I have a paper I could send you, on MLK jr. It's 16 pages single spaced.
3. If you're liked by your professor, then that midterm could be fixed by a little extra credit.
4. Where in VA?
5. Girls have a tendency to find the most perfect time to rip your heart out and eat it right in front of you.

All in all, this is a week I do not envy or wish on anyone. At least she waited until after Valentine's Day to drop you. That was considerate of her.

2) I now magically have the money to go to Europe

4) I have to book the tickets by 5pm today or it will probably not happen.
5) It's now 2:50 and I'm still waiting on decisions...slowed down for really really stupid and trivial reasons.
6) I'm going to fucking explode!!!

Grrrrrrr...

Lost the clutch at lunch today, limped to the garage in 1st trying to time the lights in order to minimize starting the car in 1st, since the only way to get from neutral to 1st is with the engine off. This could have been extraordinarily worse had it happened yesterday, en route to several off-site meetings.

However, could get a phone call this afternoon that could put a much more positive spin on the week and the month to be.
